Awards
During the
conference the scientific committee will provide three types of
awards:
1.
Scientific Recognition and Research Excellence Award
Scientific Recognition and Research Excellence
Award will be offered to a long standing researcher who has been
recognised for his/her high academic achievement and innovative work
in the field of tourism. The recipient of the Scientific Recognition
and Research Excellence Award is selected by the Scientific
Committee of the conference based upon research/publication of
sustained excellence that has appeared in respected peer-review
journals and other communication venues (e.g. books, conference
papers. The Award consists of a plaque, roundtrip air fare, hotel,
meals and miscellaneous expenses for four days, during the ICTDM
conference.
2.
Best Paper Award
One paper, from those presented in the conference, that demonstrates distinction in its research field and makes a significant contribution to the literature, will be recognised by the scientific committee and will be offered a Best Paper Award. The award consists of a plaque, one year free subscription to the Journals “International Journal of Tourism Policy (IJTP)” and “Tourism: An International Interdisciplinary Journal”, as well publication in the “International Journal of Tourism Policy”. (The award will be announced during the event and the name of the successful candidate will be available in the web page of the conference). In order for someone to qualify he/she has to present his/her paper at the Conference and to submit his/her paper, as well as to indicate if he/she wants to be considered for the award to Dr. Konstantinos Andriotis by email (kostas.andriotis@ntu.ac.uk) no later than 20th of August.
3. Young Scientist Excellence Award
Three papers presented by the most promising young graduate students
(or those with a recently completed Ph.D.) will be offered a Young
Scientist Excellence Award. The Award consists of a plaque and one
year free subscription to the Journals “International Journal of
Tourism Policy (IJTP) and “Tourism: An International
Interdisciplinary Journal”. The best of the three awarded papers
will be published in the Journal “Tourism: An International
Interdisciplinary Journal”. (The award will be announced during the
event and the names of the successful candidates will be available
in the web page of the conference). In order someone to qualify
he/she has to:
i) present his/her paper at the Conference,
ii) submit his/her paper and indicate if he/she wants to be
considered for the award to Dr. Konstantinos Andriotis by email
(kostas.andriotis@ntu.ac.uk) no later than 20th of August; and
iii) declare if he/she is a PhD student or a Post-doc fellow or
he/she has obtained his PhD within the last 3 years.
The Emerald Tourism and Hospitality journal collection covers topics such as hospitality management, consumer behaviour and trends, effective marketing in tourism and hospitality, tourist culture and behaviour, and techniques, innovations and issues. The International Journal of Culture, Tourism and Hospitality Research is pleased to sponsor a best paper award. The prize includes free subscription to the journal, an award certificate and publication into this highly-respected journal, subject to peer review.
